2. Wordpress Installation - top

Before you start messing things up and making things harder for yourself, you really should take a deep breath and read some of these resources, honestly this will help you, we only care for your well being!

3. Theme installation


To install the theme use the theme installer in the WordPress administration. Go to Appearance » Themes and click on the tab Install Themes. Chooseupload.

Click on Browse..., select the original.ziptheme file and click Install Now.


After successfully installing the theme click on the Activate button. You can also go to Appearance » Themes and click on Activate were the newly installed theme is located.


If you are havng trouble using the default Wordpress installer you can upload the theme via FTP.

  1. Open original.zip file and unpack all theme files to a directory on your computer.
  2. Using FTP, upload this directory to the /wp-content/themes directory of your WordPress installation on your server.
  3. Go to Appearance » Themes in the WordPress administration and the new theme will appear in the overview of installed themes.
  4. Click on Activate to activate the newly installed theme.

4. Plugin Installation

This theme comes bundled with many plugins. Some are required and some are optional.

Install all plugins

5. Install demo content

The theme comes with a .xml file containing demo content you can import into your WordPress site. This will help you get started, in case you are running on a fresh WordPress installation with no content at all.

  1. Go to Tools > Import
  2. Click "WordPress" to install the WordPress importer.
  3. On 'Import Wordpress' screen click 'choose file' and select the file /Original/original_demo_content.xml
  4. Click Upload file and import and wait for it to import

6. Pagebuilder

Create Pagebuilder

The theme's using Pagebuilder to builder unlimited Pages as Homepage, Blog, ect.

To Create/Use Pagebuilder, follow steps by steps bellow.

  1. Go to Appearance > Page Builder
  2. Enter "Template Name" and click "Create template" (at Bottom-Right)
  3. Drag component to Pagebuilder and click "Save template"

Use Pagebuilder

  1. Go to Pages » Add New
  2. Click Add Template button, then select template from dropdown and click "Insert template"
  3. 7. Homepage

    Go to Settings » Reading, pick "A static page (select below)", select a Page for Homepage and click "Save Changes"

    Once the theme is activated, the front-page header like this:

    If demo content is imported

    Navigate to Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations, Assigned menus for Theme Location and click "Save Changes"

    If demo content is NOT imported

    Navigate to Appearance > Menus > Edit Menus

    1. Click "Create a new menu"
    2. Enter Menu Name and click "Create Menu"

    This theme has 2 menu locations


    This is main navigation thats located in the header


    This is located at the left in Mobile view mode.

    Add icons to Menu items

    To add icons to Menu items (like demo)

  4. Go to http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/ and select a font that you want.

  5. Copy font name (eg. fa-home)
  6. Go to Appearance » Menus, add <i class="fa fa-home"></i> before Home

    9. Megamenu

    The theme come with pretty Megamemu. It's work only with Categories. The Megamenu is generated automatically.

    How to make it work?

    1. Go to Appearance » Theme Options - Click tab "Header", select "Enable" in Megamenu dropdown box. Click "Save All Changes"
    2. There are three cases
      1. If you creat a Sub-menu (by Drag & Drop in Menus Management) for any menu, it's work as orignal menu (Parent menu with subs)
      2. You DONT creat Sub-menu (by Drag & Drop in Menus Management) and your category has Sub-category, it will show 1 column for sub-category and 3 columns for category's posts

      3. You DONT creat Sub-menu (by Drag & Drop in Menus Management) and your category don't has any Sub-category, it will show 4 columns for category's posts

    1. Default sidebar

    The default sidebar's called "Sidebar", go to Appearance >> Widgets, you will see it on top in sidebar list

    Drag widgets from left to this sidebar to use. The default sidebar will be appear in Homepage, Archive pages (Category, Archive, Search result, ect) and default sidebar for Single and Page

    2. Custom Unlimied sidebars

    To create custom unlimited sidebars: Appearance > > Sidebars

    Click "+ Add New Sidebar", enter sidebar name in popup, click OK to add new sidebar

    Go to Appearance >> Widgets, you will see them in sidebar list

    Drag widgets from left to this sidebar to use. The custom sidebars will be used for Singles and Pages

    12. Post Thumbnails

    Original use the WordPress Post Thumbnails function, this way you can upload one image and WordPress will automatically resize it to all the different thumbnail sizes.

    To set a post thumbnail for your post, go to Posts > Add New > Set Featured Image > the normal upload box will now appear, upload your image and click "Use as featured image".

    Go to http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/ to learn how to use.

    14. Theme Options

    The theme comes with a powerful Theme Options work under ajax base. You can access it by navigating to Appearance -> Theme Options.

    TIPS for Theme Options:

    1. Download & Install poEdit: Here
    2. Run poEdit & open file: Original/languages/en_US.po (rename to *.po if you're using other language. Ex: French is fr.po)
    3. Translate the phrases and save it (*.mo will be created automatically)
